It’s been a year since the purchase of the RV and it has been great. I have tried to visit unique locations to keep updating the website but have return for seconds and thirds to some of the great places where we have previously stayed.

Memorial day weekend 2008, Barack Obama is in Puerto Rico campaigning, the liter of gas is $100.7 (that’s $3.84 a gallon), my towing vehicle had a major motor failure had to convince the wife to use her car as the tow vehicle. With all these noise and problems I decided to have more fun with out any stress and head it out to a new RV location. Punta Gilarte in Arroyo. This was the last government location pending to visit. It was hard to find it but we finally arrived.

In this site there is less RV campers than others camping locataion, that I personally preferred. At our arrival we meet a couple with their baby that have been camping there for three weeks. They explained to us how bad the facilities (power and septic) where and how with a lot of complaining and some money of their own they where fixed, thanks to them our stay was more pleasant.

We found a great spot between two trees that provided shadow and a lower temperature.

The facilities in general are ok except the public bathrooms; from the entire government camping site this one is really bad in design and cleanness in the RV location. A large swimming pool, gazebo where activities can take place and bungalows for rent. The beach is great with the nice cool Caribbean water under the hot sun.
